After making the ‘Bounty Biscuits’ there were loads of coconut macaroons left over so I popped them in the freezer ready for another time. This was unnecessary as I actually decided to do something with them today: cover them in melted chocolate to make ‘Bounty’ balls. The freezing wasn’t a total waste of time, however. It made the macaroons more robust and able to stand being dipped in chocolate, and the chocolate itself set quickly after coming into contact with the chilled coconut meaning they could be eaten sooner 🙂
Like with the ‘Bounty Biscuits’ I used a mix of really good quality 90% dark, cooking dark and milk chocolate.
