Festival food doesn’t get any better than this…
Festivals are a brilliant way of discovering new food – be it an entirely new cuisine (Goan fish curry anyone?), a tantalising twist on a classic (haggis toastie) or naturally good and portable fast food (vegan sushi wraps).
Fieldview Festival is no exception. I think it also wins the prize for the healthiest food I have ever consumed in a field. The tofu sushi with superfood salad from The Wide Awake Cafe stall was fresh, almost embarrassingly nutritious and, naturally, delicious. It was the first time I had ever seen tofu sushi on a menu and I would appeal to food vendors to offer it as a veggie alternative more often!
