My memories of visitor attraction cuisine consist mainly of over-priced hotdogs and salty french-fries, so I was very pleasantly surprised by the range – and quality – of food on offer at a recent visit to London Zoo. Even as a vegetarian I was spoilt for choice but opted in the end for the butternut squash, sage and cheese quiche served with a choice of two side salads (I went for freekeh and cauliflower, and aubergine with sun-blush tomatoes and feta): a generous portion and really good-quality nutritious food.
